If you are interested in hiring Simply Architecture for your project, please see our contact information to call or e-mail us. We provide a 30 minute phone conversation to speak about your project and see if our firm is a good fit for your design needs.

 

After the phone conversation an Initial Consultation will be scheduled, if you so choose. We do charge for this initial visit because as a potential client you will gain value from meeting with us. The meeting will be focused on you and your needs and wants. Plan for this session to last for one (1) hour. Meetings occur during normal business hours, however Saturday meetings are available upon request.

Although an Initial Consultation is not required, it is recommended, especially for new clients. If you choose to forego the Initial Consultation, Simply Architecture will require a signed contract retaining us as your Architect in order to proceed with your project and any subsequent meetings.

During your Initial Consultation certain points will be covered:

• Your goals, hopes, needs and wants.

• An opinion on probable construction costs based on the Architect’s professional knowledge.

• Specific constraints that you may have with your project (such as code, zoning or accessibility issues).

• Challenges that may become apparent to the Architect.

• Assistance in finding and vetting General Contractors and locally qualified trade professionals in your area.

• Possible phasing of the project, if there are budget/time constraints.

• Other professionals you might need, such as a structural, mechanical, electrical or plumbing engineer and their associated professional fees.

• Other costs you might not be aware of, such as permit fees.

• Opportunities to discuss services offered by Simply Architecture that you may not have considered (outlined and described in our contracts).

• Any other questions you may have about the process.

• A written document outlining our meeting will be provided to you for your records.

The price for this initial consultation session is $250. Projects located further from our location can be handled via Zoom or Skype.

If you decide to retain Simply Architecture for your project, the Initial Consultation fee will be credited towards the Preliminary Design Services for your project.
